Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analysing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and delivering actionable insights that drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders (Product, Sales, Customer Success, Clients) to elicit and document business requirements. Conduct user interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand and capture needs, pain points, and desired outcomes.
- Business Process Analysis: Map and analyze current processes, identifying gaps or inefficiencies. Recommend process improvements or system enhancements that drive customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Documentation & Specifications: Translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the development and QA teams. Create detailed documentation (flowcharts, use cases, data models) to ensure clarity and alignment on project scope.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Serve as a liaison between technical teams (developers, QA) and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication. Facilitate requirements walkthroughs, backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions in collaboration with Product Owners.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze product usage data, customer feedback, and KPIs to validate business hypotheses and inform decision-making. Develop clear, actionable reports and dashboards to present insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Solution Validation & Testing: Work with the QA team to define test scenarios and ensure that developed features meet business needs. Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing), gather feedback, and track issue resolution before releases.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with Project Managers to plan, monitor, and deliver projects on time and within scope. Help identify and escalate risks, dependencies, or constraints that may impact project timelines or quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of industry trends in SaaS, enterprise solutions, and business analysis best practices. Propose strategies for enhancing the BA process, including new tools, methodologies, or frameworks.
Technical Skills
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master’s/MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
- Relevant Experience: 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a SaaS, software, or technology environment. Experience working with enterprise-level solutions or clients is highly desirable.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business processes, identify pain points, and propose feasible solutions. Strong critical thinking skills with a focus on data-driven insights.
- Technical & Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall) and SDLC processes. Basic knowledge of cloud computing concepts and SaaS business models is a plus.
- Documentation & Modeling Tools: Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, or similar requirement-tracking and project management tools. Experience creating flowcharts, wireframes, or process maps (e.g., using Visio, Lucidchart).
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear requirement articulation and stakeholder alignment. Ability to facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with diverse audiences.
- Stakeholder Management: Aptitude for building relationships across functional teams and with external clients. Skilled at negotiation and resolving conflicts to ensure project objectives are met.
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation. High attention to detail to ensure completeness and clarity of requirements and technical specs.
- Adaptability & Continuous Learning: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, quickly adapting to changes in priorities or scope. A desire for continuous improvement in business analysis approaches and SaaS industry knowledge.
