Trainee in Business Intelligence
Are you a visionary and passionate student looking for a thesis or internship possibility in an international company delivering unique management software?
The Assignment
Our management software, VisionWaves Delta, is fully integrated with MS-SQL Server 2008. Our vision is that business should drive IT. For BI that means that the actual way in which a customer manages his organization (business model) should drive the way the BI stack (data integration) is generated. We’re looking to investigate what new functionality of MS-SQL Server 2012 can bring us. One of these areas is using tabular models instead of the current support of multi-dimensional solutions.
The Questions
- What business functionality and benefits bring tabular models to our product, partners and customers?
- What are the downsides of using tabular models instead of multi-dimensional models?
- How can we best technically drive the tabular models from our management software, VisionWaves Delta?
- What changes do we have to make in VisionWaves Delta to make it work?
The Organization
VisionWaves develops unique management software to help companies create value while keeping costs at a minimum. Tailor-made portals provide users the tools needed to manage their area of responsibility. The software can be fully integrated with existing IT environments
The VisionWaves Expert Center—a dedicated team of business and technical (BI) consultants— is responsible for supporting our global range of partners and customers in delivering as well as providing new innovative ideas on how to improve our software product, VisionWaves Delta.
What we offer
- The opportunity to learn in an international organization
- An environment where you can bring your own ideas to the table
- A challenging and stimulating work environment where you can learn and grow
- An opportunity to hit the ground (your career) running, potentially with us
